By: Staff Reports New Name, New Location For Internet Subsidiary

KnightRidder.com, the Internet subsidiary of Knight Ridder, is
changing its name to Knight Ridder Digital to better reflect its
digital news efforts.

The San Jose, Calif.-based company will concentrate on online
publishing and Internet advertising along with initiatives in
interactive information, technology infrastructure development,
wireless applications, and content syndication.

Knight Ridder Digital has moved to its new location in downtown
San Jose and launched a new corporate Web site,
knightridderdigital.com.
The company plans to introduce new tools and platforms for
content and advertising delivery over the next few months.

Knight Ridder Digital operates the Real Cities network that
includes more than 55 local Web sites.
