By: Nekoro Gomes Bernard Kozen has been named operations manager at the Pocono (Pa.) Record. Kozen, who will be responsible for production and distribution duties at the morning daily, replaces the retiring Vaughn Gravel.
Kozen is being promoted from circulation director, a position he has filled at the Record for the past 18 years. Kozen came to the Pocono Record in 1984, starting as a district sales manager.
Kozen told reporters that getting the Record to readers for earlier morning delivery will be one of his main goals and that he is excited about making the Record more useful for readers.
The paper also announced the appointment of Lori-Ann Racki to Kozen's vacated position as circulation director. Racki came to the Record on February 6 from the Times Herald-Record in Middletown, N.Y., another Ottaway Newspaper Inc. newspaper.
Racki said she plans to continue Kozen's focus on increasing the paper's readership and to make the paper more marketable to local advertisers.
