By: E&P Staff Following its investment in KBA presses, India's Bhaskar Group is replacing all its platemakng lines with13 computer-to-plate lines from Krause-Biagosch, Bielefeld, Germany.

The Krause systems consist of violet-laser LS Jet platessetters and BlueFin processors. Five have been delivered, and the remaining eight CTP systems will be installed throughout India within the next few weeks.

Flagships of the Bhaskar Group of media companies are Dainik Bhaskar, Divya Bhaskar and Daily News Analysis.

Bhaskar personnel evaluated Krause systems at last fall's Ifra Expo in Vienna. This month at drupa in Duesseldorf, Krause will show LS Jet and LS Performance platesetter improvements that support unattended production. The imagers use a 120 mW violet diode, and electrical and pneumatic switching has been redesigned for easier maintenance, according to the company.

Krause's NetTrack module enables platesetter supervision within the customer network, and the Krause Service Gateway provides a secure and remote connection to Krause.

Krause said it also will demonstrate violet chemical-free CTP platemaking, show higher-throughput models of the LS Performance, and introduce FlowControl, a security tool that monitors BlueFin processor functions.
