By: E&P Staff As the NASCAR season revs up, fans of the motor sport will have an expanded, interactive way to experience it: ThatsRacin.com, a Web site produced by Knight Ridder Digital and the NASCAR experts at Knight Ridder's Charlotte (N.C.) Observer.
The site has been overhauled with the addition of fantasy games and a blog to augment its existing commentary and analysis. The blog, called Inside Line, will be written by a diverse crew -- including ThatsRacing editor Bob Henry -- and feature everything from rants to NASCAR-mom commentary.
"We believe fans are hungry for more and different ways to really get inside the sport they love," ThatsRacin.com's general manager, Dick van Halsema, said in a statement." So we worked hard in the off-season to build a new 'inside-line experience' for fans who just can't get enough of racing."
Additional "extras" include Fantasy Racing Challenge and a media center with links to press releases and marketing communications. And an expanded version of the site's "Garage Pass" newsletter boasts added features like more statistics.
