LA Newspaper Group Names Web VP

By: The Los Angeles Newspaper Group, a division of MediaNews Group Inc. of Denver, has named John Hoeft vice president, interactive media.

Previously business development manager for MediaNews Group Interactive in Denver, Hoeft will now oversee the business and content of eight California sites, including dailynews.com, sgvtribune.com, presstelegram.com, and pasadenastarnews.com.

Prior to the business development job, Hoeft was online sales manager for The Denver Post and new media sales representative for the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

The Los Angeles group is based in Woodland Hills, Calif.
