'L.A. Times' and Bloomberg News to Collaborate on Opinion Polls

By: E&P Staff The Los Angeles Times and Bloomberg News announced that they will jointly conduct public opinion polls starting this January.

Their surveys will cover public attitudes about government and politics, economics and finance, international affairs, and social and cultural issues.

"This collaboration with Bloomberg News will enable [The Los Angeles Times Poll] to have a far wider reach and bigger impact," said Dean Baquet, editor of the Times.

The Bloomberg News news service -- which has more than 1,800 journalists in 125 bureaus worldwide -- includes Bloomberg Television, Bloomberg Radio, Bloomberg Markets magazine, and the Bloomberg Press book publisher.
