By: E&P Staff For the first time, the popular Los Angeles Times Festival of Books will have an area devoted to comics, graphic novels, and other cartoon genres.
The 2008 festival -- which is expected to attract about 130,000 people -- runs April 26-27 on the UCLA campus in Westwood, Calif.
The new festival area will be called "The Comix Strip." Currently, a contest is being held to design a logo for the area. Entries are being accepted from Feb. 11 to Feb. 22, with the winning logo unveiled March 14.
Tom Spurgeon linked to the festival news today on his
