'LA Times' OC Plant May Remain Open

Last week, Ed Padgett, who runs the Los Angeles Times Pressmens 20 Year Club blog, wrote that he'd heard the plant may remain open in order to operate one of its presses twice daily. He suggests it may be used to print the Orange County Register.

There was no immediate comment on the possibility from either newspaper.

Since the Los Angeles Times announced it would close its Orange County plant in late winter, the date has been moved to late spring. The Valley plant had been closed, and the Times was expected to print entirely out of its Olympic facility.
