'LA Times' to Fold Sunday Book Review Into New Opinion Section

By: E&P Staff The Los Angeles Times is planning to discontinue its Sunday Book Review section, putting that content instead in a new, dual-cover, tabloid opinion section to be included in Saturday's papers, according to the Web site LAObserved.com.

The section would have two covers (not unlike New York's tabloid papers which use the back cover for sports), allowing both opinion readers and book review readers to enter directly into their area of interest, the site said.

The new section will reportedly launch after the paper's "Festival of Books" in April.
