La Voz and TV y Más Names New Editor

Elvia Díaz has been named editor of La Voz and TV y Más, Gannett’s Spanish-language publications in Arizona. In her new role, she will focus on expanding the coverage to digital, including desktop and mobile. Most recently, she was breaking news editor at the Arizona Republic and azentral.com, working with reporters, producers and photojournalists. She joined the Arizona Republic in 1999. She is an adjunct professor at the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Arizona State University, where she teaches intermediate reporting and writing.
