'Lakeland (Fla.) Ledger' Names New Publisher

By: E&P Staff Jerome Ferson has been named publisher of The Lakeland (Fla.) Ledger, The New York Times Company Regional Media group announced today.

Ferson, 35, most recently was president and publisher of the American
News of Aberdeen, S.D., where he worked for over two years. Prior to that, Ferson worked at the Knight Ridder-owned Duluth (Minn.) News Tribune for six years, holding various positions such as pre-press systems director, operations and human resources director, interim advertising director, employee relations and development director, and vice president of administration. He began his newspaper career in 1988 in his hometown of Rochester, Minn., at the Post Bulletin.
