By: E&P Staff Family owned-and-operated Paddock Publications announced its first-ever layoffs this weekend at The Daily Herald.
One source reported the cuts were concentrated within the paper's main Arlington Heights office and its printing plant. Most were within the lower-level employees, such as clerical and support staff. Although the size of the layoff was described as "significant," it was not immediately clear exactly how many employees were affected or whether there would be more layoffs to come.
Paddock Publications managers were not available for comment.
