Layoffs Come to 'Missoulian' Newsroom

By: The Missoulian newspaper says it will lay off four full-time and three part-time employees.

Publisher Stacey Mueller cites a tough economic environment, resulting in skyrocketing newsprint and fuel costs.

The layoffs include two newsroom employees, two in advertising, one in circulation and two part-time telemarketing sales staff whose work was outsourced.

The Missoulian is owned by Lee Enterprises and is Montana's thired-largest newspaper.
