Lede AI will suspend availability of products and services designed for the local news industry by the end of 2024.

This means that WordNerd as well as our automated sports briefs will no longer be available for purchase or use by outside clients.

There are lots of good reasons why we’ve decided to stop pursuing commercial success in the news industry, but the main one for us was simply product / market fit. While we love what we’ve built and know it’s useful, the local news industry hasn’t adopted our products at a rate that sustains our business model.

It is time to take a breath and consider other options for the technology we’ve built; so that’s what we’re doing.
