Lee Enterprises CEO Buys 100,000 Shares

Mary Junck, the CEO of embattled newspaper company Lee Enterprises, just disclosed buying 100,000 shares of her company's stock.

Deal Journal colleagues Michael Aneiro and Matt Wirz today had a story about Lee's inability to sell $1.06 billion in junk bonds and loans this week in an effort to stave off bankruptcy. It seems not even the furious demand for junk debt was enough to draw investors to Lee.

According to an SEC filing, Junck bought the 100,000 shares today at a weighed average price of about $1.06 each.
