Lee Enterprises of Davenport, Iowa, has invested $1.5 million in CityXpress of
Vancouver, British Columbia. CityXpress provides a suite of promotional and e-

commerce products that can be integrated into content sites.

"We have worked closely with CityXpress over the past year in implementing its
online Special Section products in our properties," said Gregory P. Schermer,
Lee's vice president for interactive media. "The response from our newspapers
and our advertisers has been outstanding." Lee has sold 24 of the Special Sections
in nine markets.

Those Special Section products include Home & Garden, Health & Wellness,
Sports & Recreation, Professional Services, Dining & Entertainment, and Travel
& Leisure. The sections integrate editorial content with business directory listings,
electronic coupons, and online stores.

CityXpress President and CEO Phil Dubois said Lee's investment would allow the
company to market its services to other Web sites.
