Lee Sells 2 Oregon Papers To Ottaway

By: Lee Enterprises Inc. of Davenport, Iowa, announced the sale of two Oregon newspapers to Ottaway Newspapers Inc., a subsidiary of Dow Jones & Co. Terms were not disclosed.

The Monday-Saturday afternoon Ashland Daily Tidings and the weekly Nickel Want Ad Newspaper of Medford were sold. Both publications are expected to complement Ottaway's Medford Mail Tribune, a 27,000-circulation daily.

Lee said the circulation of the Daily Tidings is 5,100 and the weekly classified paper is 30,000.
