By: E&P Staff A court case began in Canada yesterday over the artwork of Ben Wicks, the syndicated cartoonist who died in 2000.
A Toronto Star story noted that about 3,000 Wicks' sketches were left behind in a house sale 15 years ago. Members of the cartoonist's family are fighting to have the artwork returned to their possession.
The person who found the sketches wanted to publish them in a book and split the proceeds with the Wicks family.
Wicks, who died at the age of 73, was known for work such as "The Outcasts" comic and magazine cartoons.
