By: E&P Staff Dan Rattiner, longtime publisher and editor of the famously quirky and successful free weekly, Dan's Papers, in the Hamptons on Long Island, will remain editor of the New York paper after the sale of his remaining stake to Brown Publishing Co.
He launched it as a 20-year-old in 1960. Related properties in the deal include Dan's Hampton Style magazine and the Montauk Pioneer.
Cincinnati-based Brown Publishing Co. owns many dailies and weeklies, mainly in Ohio.
