Can't We All Just Evolve?Re: Your story today on half of Americans supporting the Bible over Darwin:
The 25% are the ones who didn't evolve -- I think they speak for themselves.....
And which idiot created the survey with questions like "God had no part?" If you say yes that means you believe in God and if you say no that also means you believe in the existence of God.
And "God created man exactly how the Bible describes it" means man was created in and around 1 A.D.?
'Cause if God was waiting for the Bible to be written then he waited a while since he put the dinosaurs there didn't he? Oh I mean she ...and why did he bother to put other animals and then introduce man, was he confused about the image?
Great Poll guys, keep up with it. Maybe God will send an angel to thank you.

Questionable PracticesHi,
I got a phone call a few months ago from a Gallup pollster asking questions about shopping, then turned to political questions, then he asked me if I consider myself strongly Democratic, moderate or Republican, I said Democratic moderate, and he said thank you for your time and hung up. I thought it was abrupt after seeing where my political values were, and I made a point of remembering which polling company had called.
I think they need looking into.

Someone CaresThe March issue editorial in E&P said the following about a libel case involving the chief judge of the Illinois Supreme Court, "...the state's press should start paying far closer attention to this mischievous lawsuit."
The Chicago Daily Law Bulletin has written eight stories about the case dating back to June of 2004. The most recent story ran Feb. 9, 2006. We are paying close attention to the case because we think it's important. To many it seems to contain all the classic earmarks of a bad case on its way to making bad law.
Sincerely,
Bernard M. Judge, Editor

Big Man, Not EgoYour article on visiting Art Buchwald in a hospice:
The spirit of the man is infectious, and travels far.
Here I am in my study, in Singapore, thousand of miles from his Washington hospice, and his laughter reverberates, as I read his IHT column.
I followed his columns religiously as a young man, and it's great to read his latest. The topics change, the elan is constant.
A big-size man with an under-size ego.
