Life after the Times buyout

Joseph Sexton spent 25 years at The New York Times, with stints as Metro editor and Sports editor. But last year, in a round of cost-cutting, the paper announced it was setting up a voluntary buyout system in an effort to stave off layoffs. Sexton took one, and quickly got a new job as a senior editor for ProPublica.
