'Lio,' 'Funky,' and 'Diesel' Are Popular Topics on Blog That Just Turned Two

Posted
By: E&P Staff Alan Gardner marked the second anniversary of his Daily Cartoonist blog with a post containing some interesting facts and figures.

For instance, he listed his 10 most-viewed posts of the past two years -- with the top one about the launch of the "Lio" comic (by Mark Tatulli of Universal Press Syndicate) and the second most-viewed about the then-impending death of Lisa Moore in "Funky Winkerbean" (by Tom Batiuk of King Features Syndicate).

The two blog posts that drew the most comments were one about a tiff between liberal Universal editorial cartoonist Ted Rall and conservative Creators Syndicate columnist Michelle Malkin, and another about United Media's then-impending launch of the "Diesel Sweeties" comic by Richard Stevens.
