'Lio'/'Lagoon' In, 'B.C.'/'Wizard' Out in Daily 'Wash Post'

Posted
By: E&P Staff The Washington Post will run the "Lio" and "Sherman's Lagoon" comics seven days a week rather than Sunday-only starting next Monday.

At the same time, the Post will drop "B.C." and "The Wizard of Id" from its daily pages -- while still running "Wizard" on Sundays. Both comics will remain available on WashingtonPost.com.

Johnny Hart, who created "B.C." and co-created "Wizard," died last month -- as did "Wizard" co-creator Brant Parker. Their Creators Syndicate comics are being continued by family members.

"Lio" is by Mark Tatulli of Universal Press Syndicate and "Sherman's Lagoon" is by Jim Toomey of King Features Syndicate.
