LiveInform allows media outlets to offer fans a "real-time sports score alerts service" utilizing Web and wireless technology -- and generate revenue doing so. Under "LiveInform," people can receive sports alerts directly from a Web site to their cell phones.
"This is a hybrid mobile/online service that allows newspapers and other media companies to dip their feet into the lucrative mobile/wireless arena," said Darren Pollard, executive vice president of LiveEvents Wireless USA.
Sports covered include baseball, football, basketball, hockey, golf, tennis, car racing, and more.
