Recognizing that collaboration in the industry has never been more important, the California Newspaper Publishers Association (CNPA) has joined forces with the Local Media Association (formerly Suburban Newspapers of America) to offer certain products and services to their members for reduced fees and a revenue-share.
Starting now, members of CNPA will be able to participate in the following Local Media Association programs at reduced rates (lower than non-member rates):
In return, CNPA will market these services and will receive a revenue-share for each one. CNPA will also make certain programs and services available to Local Media Association members as part of this agreement.
Local Media Association is making this partnership opportunity available to all media associations in the U.S. and Canada. The California Newspaper Publishers Association is the first one to sign but others are expected to join in the coming weeks.
“There are many great industry trade associations in North America and we all have certain niches or areas of expertise”, said Nancy Lane, president, Local Media Association. “It just makes sense to collaborate and share with our fellow associations. Our sales certification program took over two years to develop and included a serious investment from our partnership group. Sharing this fabulous tool with the industry is the right thing to do.”
“This partnership is yet another example of newspapers, through their trade associations, working together to provide value and improve the industry,” said CNPA Executive Director Tom Newton. “We are pleased to improve CNPA’s already great relationship with Local Media Association.”
Local Media Association (formerly Suburban Newspapers of America) is the leading resource for local news and information providers seeking innovation, education and inspiration. Areas of focus include: media sales certification program, training webinars, monthly case study research reports and inspiring industry conferences.
The California Newspaper Publishers Association (CNPA) is a nonprofit trade association representing the daily and weekly newspapers of California. Its mission is to champion the ideals of a free press in our democratic society and to promote the quality and economic health of California newspapers.
