Longtime McCain-Watcher Offers Personal History in Phoenix 'New Times'

She then re-visits the days of McCain's run for the Senate, ties to the Keating scandal, his wife's legal problems, and why Silverman and others have always cut him some slack, for both good and bad reasons. McCain's campaign did not return her calls for comment.
