By: Joe Strupp Peter Johnson, the veteran TV and media writer at USA Today, is reportedly taking a buyout and planning to leave the Gannett daily, according to Mediabistro.com's TVNewser.
"Johnson wrote the influential 'Inside TV' column for years and more recently 'Media Mix' at USA Today," the Web site reported, adding that he had spent 31 years at Gannett and 24 years at the flagship paper.
"Respected, adored and occasionally feared by TV execs for his sharp wit and 'knowledge of where every single body is buried', Johnson will join his wife Tory Johnson, a contributor to Good Morning America, at her successful career fair business, Women for Hire, in New York City."
