Longview 'New-Journal' Installs Quipp Inserting And Packaging System

By: Meg Campbell The Longview (Texas) News-Journal recently completed the installation of a Quipp insert and mailroom system.

The new system consists of a 20:2 high-speed Inserter, Newscom 6 insert management control system, Quipp-Gripp III single gripper press conveyor, on-line feeder system, and eight NT200 hopper loaders. The installation also included one stacker, two bottomwrapers and two downstream distribution machines.

To the north, Quipp recently installed a reconditioned 8:1 inserter at the Cortez (Colo.) Journal. The system includes the inserter as well as Quipp?s Newscom 6 insert management control system and one Model 1501W newspaper stacker.
