By: E&P Staff Keven Todd has been named publisher of the Los Alamos (N.M.) Monitor. He has served as the paper?s interim publisher since mid-August 2009.
Prior to joining parent company Landmark Community Newspapers Inc., Todd was publisher of Lahontan Valley (Nevada) News and held numerous sales management positions with Belo, Gannett, Knight Ridder and McClatchy newspapers.
Todd said in a statement, ?Just as we continue the transition to become a robust multimedia news and information source for the market area we serve, we will continue to hold true to the core values that have brought the paper this far. Under my watch, the newspaper will always strive to be a worthy steward of the public?s trust.
?While we?ve already made significant strides in some key areas, the nature of this business is such that there?s always room for improvement,? Todd added. ?Whether it?s in print or online, we will become even more reader-centric because we understand that we?re engaged in a war for people?s eyeballs.?
