Lou Gelfand Takes Case to Court

Posted
By: Mark Fitzgerald Lou Gelfand, who says he was forced out after 23 years as reader representative of the Minneapolis Star Tribune, took his claim of age discrimination to Minnesota state court today.

Gelfand, 81, last month filed similar complaints with the U.S. Equal Opportunity Employment Commission (EEOC) and the Minnesota Department of Human Rights. His lawyer, James H. Kaster, said in a telephone interview that those complaints are ongoing, but that a complaint was filed in Minnesota court to speed the process.
