Louisville 'Courier-Journal' Removes Vintage Signs from Building

By: The Courier-Journal is removing old signs from the outside of its building.

The Louisville Times stopped publishing more than 20 years ago, but its name stayed on the downtown building, as well as the sign "CJ & T."

Arnold Garson, the newspaper's president and publisher, said Monday that it was time to move forward.

The Courier-Journal reported on its Web site that the two signs will be replaced with a "courier-journal.com" sign. Garson said the current sign for "The Courier-Journal" will be cleaned.

Garson said he will try to display the old signs inside the newspaper's building.
