Lucas Leaves Sun Chemical

By: E&P Staff Dainippon Ink & Chemicals, parent company of Sun Chemical Corp. in Parsippany, N.J., announced that based on progress in integrating management of DIC and Sun Chemical, Wes Lucas handed over the position of Sun Chemical chairman to Naoki Tsuji as of Feb. 15. Lucas has resigned from the board.

DIC elected Tsuji vice chairman on Dec. 31, 2005. Most recently DIC Logistics president, Tsuji will serve as non-executive chairman. David Hill remains Sun Chemical CEO and president.

DIC said its strategy is "to gain significant synergies by integrating the management of DIC and Sun Chemical's operations and more closely coordinating their global management structure."
