Lynn Johnston's Daughter Joins 'For Better' Studio

By: E&P Staff Lynn Johnston's daughter, Kate Johnston, has joined the "For Better or For Worse" studio as an executive associate.

Kate -- a former student at Canada's Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design -- has a background that includes drawing, sculpture, and jewelry. She was involved in developing the Ned Tanner plumber character in "For Better or For Worse."

The Canada-based Lynn Johnston does "For Better or For Worse" for more than 2,000 newspapers via Universal Press Syndicate. Her 1979-launched comic is slated to turn into a hybrid of old and new material this September.
