By: E&P Staff Gilroy, Calif.-based MainStreet Media Group LLC has bought the 5,000-circulation weekly Ramona (Calif.) Sentinel from Keith M. Hansen's Hansen Publishing Co., Gauger Media Services Inc. announced Wednesday.
David Gauger of Gauger Media, a media brokerage firm with offices in Raymond, Wash., and Hesperia, Calif., represented Hansen in the transaction.
Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
In addition to the Sentinel, the sale includes a monthly magazine, a quarterly coupon book, an equine magazine and an annual lifestyles magazine.
The Sentinel will become part of a cluster of southwestern California papers published by MainStreet Media, including the Rancho Santa Fe Record, La Jolla Light, Del Mar Times, Solana Beach Sun and the Carmel Valley Leader.
"With the addition of the Sentinel our company now offers over 70,000 circulation to contiguous households in the top six demographic zip codes in San Diego County," MainStreet Media President and CEO Anthony A. Allegretti said in a statement.
Allegretti said Keith Hansen is staying with the paper.
