By: E&P Staff Manugraph DGM Inc., Elizabethville, Pa., will introduce at mediaXchange next month in La Vegas the HiLine Express, a 45,000-impression-per-hour singlewide press with a maximum web width of 36 inches.
Built for newspapers and commercial publication printers, the extension of Manugraph?s HiLine press incorporates three ink form rollers and three oscillators, as in the DGM 440 press. "This commercial ink-train design reduces dot gain, minimizes ghosting and maximizes print contrast and solid density performance," Sales and Marketing Vice President Dave Moreland said in a statement.
Each HiLine Express tower features a 10-roller inking train, and is designed with a two-roller spray dampening system, tool-less plate lockup, web-break detectors and remote-controlled motorized lateral and circumferential registration systems.
Optional features include: closed-loop registration and cut-off control; ManuColor remote ink-zone control; CIP4 Interface for ManuColor; shaftless draw roller module; ink leveling and replenishing system for all ducts; shaftless AC drive and four motors per tower.
The HiLine Express is equipped with the DGM 1240 folder, Manugraph DGM's 1:2:2 automated design folder. Available in four cutoff lengths, the DGM 1240 folder features push-button changeover and on-the-run lap adjustment. It has a top rated speed of 50,000 copies per hour.
