By: E&P Staff The Paducah (Ky.) Sun of Paducah (25,375 circulation) has purchased 16 units of the DGM Advantage II press and one DGM 1240 folder from Manugraph DGM Inc. The press will be configured as four four-unit towers, and the folder will feature a steep-angle former and upper former.

The Advantage is manufactured at the Elizabethville, Pa., facility formerly owned by Dauphin Graphic Machines, which Indian press maker Manugraph acquired last November.

The paper expects delivery of the press in December in a facility now under construction expected to be fully commissioned next March.

The new press will increase capacity for color ad pages and print the Sun's total market coverage weekly.

Abroad, Manugraph India posted two recent singlewide press sales. APN News and Media, Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia, has ordered three six-tower Cityline Express lines.

In India, ABP Pvt. Ltd. has purchased a second Hiline press. Its first -- six Hiline 45 towers and six reelstands with one 2:3:2 folder -- was installed in 2005. ABP is currently installing phase two of the project, consisting of 12 Hiline 45 towers with shaftless reelstands and three 2:3:2 folders.
