By: E&P Staff Starting July 1, Parade will be carried exclusively in all of McClatchy's 31 daily papers and two non-daily publications.
Currently, 23 of McClatchy's papers are partnered with the Sunday supplement. On June 10, the Idaho Statesman in Boise, The Olathe (Kan.) News, the Merced (Calf.) Sun-Star, The Herald in Rock Hill, S.C., The Bellingham (Wash.) Herald, The Olympian in Washington, and the twice-weekly Chapel Hill (N.C.) News and weekly Durham (N.C.) News will distribute Parade.
The Bradenton (Fla.) Herald and The News Tribune in Tacoma, Wash., will follow suit on July 1.
Many of the papers formerly carried USA Weekend. McClatchy is now Parade's largest distribution partner with a Sunday circulation of 3.5 million.
"Parade is an immensely popular publication that resonates weekly with readers throughout the country," Gary Pruitt, McClatchy's chairman, president, and CEO, said in a statement. "We're pleased to deliver the magazine to more of our subscribers as an important part of their weekend package."
