Markzware Enhances FlightCheck Workflow

By: E&P Staff Used to batch process and analyze information about documents, files, and jobs automatically, FlightCheck Workflow, from Markzware, Santa Ana, Calif., now includes several mini-solutions.

The Windows- and Macintosh-compatible preflighting toolkit now supports Adobe FrameMaker, Microsoft Word, Publisher, and Powerpoint, as well as the ability to interface with FlightCheck v5.52 for Windows.

FlightCheck Designer or Professional users can automate preflighting with their current FlightCheck Ground Control settings. Now, instead of checking one file at a time, with the FlightCheck Workflow and FlightCheck combination, thousands of files can be processed 24-hours a day. By including applications like Adobe Acrobat and InDesign, QuarkXPress, or Enfocus Pitstop, a complete PDF workflow can be created. System integrators world-wide have used FlightCheck Workflow to create customized turnkey solutions for a wide-variety of prepress operations.

New mini-solutions (which can be downloaded here) include: batch converting high-resolution images to 72dpi RGB JPEG images for use on the Web and TIFF images to CMYK from RGB, indexed or LAB, and batch correcting file extensions if they have been removed from the file name.
