By: Meg Campbell Applications developer Markzware of Santa Ana, Calif., has upgraded its FlightCheck software to allow for faster preflighting, recognition of QuarkXpress 7 files, and improved PDF controls. The software is used to control the quality of digital files headed for print or electronic distribution, according to the company.
FlightCheck version 6.10 has increased ?preflighting?, or automatic file review, speeds by four times, and has incorporated support of QuarkXpress 7 to report on font paths. A new ?get more? button on the application?s Ground Controls menu allows users access to predefined rule sets for different output and file specifications.
