Marshall Heads MEI's Western Sales

By: E&P Staff Managing Editor Inc., Jenkintown, Pa., an Adobe Systems portfolio company and publishing software provider, has hired John Marshall as sales manager for the western United States and Canada.

In addition to focusing on direct sales, MEI said Marshall "will play a major role in the company's K4 Publishing System initiatives to newspapers and magazines."

Trained in electrical engineering, Marshall started in sales in 1985. In 1989, he started Mantis Computer Inc., initially selling parts to minicomputer users, primarily in the medical field. His interest in the publishing world took hold after Mantis began working with newspapers.

Mantis' expansion eventually reached customers worldwide until Marshall chose to concentrate his efforts in New England. In 2003, he became a New England area sales representative for Harris & Baseview. Since last September has sold for WoodWing Software.
