By: Nekoro Gomes ImpreMedia, the nation's largest Spanish-language newspaper publisher, announced today the appointment of Mary Zerafa as general manager of the group's digital division.
Zerafa is being promoted from her position as a corporate director for new media and marketing for the Hispanic media group. In the newly created position, Zerafa will oversee all Internet and digital initiatives for the ImpreMedia's properties.
From 2000 to 2005, Zerafa served as Director of New Media for La Opini?n, ImpreMedia?s largest newspaper. Zerafa launched laopinion.com and led it to its position as the #1 Spanish language news and information site for U.S. Latinos.
ImpreMedia publishes seven newspapers in six U.S. markets, which are together home to more than 16 million Hispanics, according to John Paton, the company's chairman and CEO.
