Mass. Readers Push Pureplay To Print

For the last four years, a pair of hyperlocal websites has thrived in southeastern Massachusetts thanks to an unexpected twist: the popularity of weekly print editions.

“I thought I was starting an Internet company,” says Anne Eisenmenger, publisher of the Village Soup sites in Wareham and Sippican. “Then the newspaper was an overnight success.”
