By: E&P Staff The "Masters of American Comics" exhibit is moving to New Jersey and New York City from Sept. 15 through Jan. 28.
New Jersey's Newark Museum will host the comic strip portion of the show, while the Jewish Museum in Manhattan will focus on comic books and graphic novels
The exhibit began in Los Angeles last fall, and moved to Milwaukee this spring. Among the cartoonists spotlighted are Milton Caniff ("Terry and the Pirates"), Chester Gould ("Dick Tracy"), George Herriman ("Krazy Kat"), Frank King ("Gasoline Alley"), Winsor McCay ("Little Nemo in Slumberland"), Charles Schulz ("Peanuts"), and Elzie Segar ("Popeye").
