McClatchy Opens the Door to Charging for Content

Posted
By: Jennifer Saba The McClatchy Co. has been sending out notices that it changed the terms of service agreement for all its Web sites, making it clearer that the company could begin charging for content.

Christian Hendricks, McClatchy's vice president of interactive media, stressed that McClatchy has made no decisions regarding paid content. "Nothing is imminent," he said. "We are studying it like everybody else."
He added that the terms of service were updated so the company doesn't have to re-notify readers should the company choose to put in some sort of pay system.

Below is the section subtitled "cost" of the terms of service agreement taken from the Kansascity.com. Read more here at Fitz & Jen.
