By: Joe Strupp Three more McClatchy dailies revealed how Monday's companywide job cuts will affect them.

The Anchorage (Alaska) Daily News, Bellingham (Wash.) Herald, and The Ledger-Enquirer of Columbus, Ga., announced they will reduce a combined 58 jobs as part of McClatchy's nationwide 10% reduction.

The Herald reported it would be reducing its workforce by 10%, or 13 employees, according to Glen Nardi, president and publisher. He said four of those full-time jobs would come from the newsroom.

The Daily News will lay-off or eliminate the jobs of about 9% of its staff, including 10 members of its 83-person newsroom, the paper's president and publisher, Patrick Doyle, announced in a story. The paper's overall cutbacks will affect some 35 jobs, and will be completed by the end of June, Doyle said.

The Ledger-Enquirer, meanwhile, reported it would lose 10 people, or 5% of its workforce. "Reducing our staff is a painful but necessary step," Publisher and President Valerie Canepa said in an e-mail sent Monday to all employees notifying them that 10 staffers had accepted voluntary buyouts. "We're operating in a time of great change and challenge, both for The McClatchy Company and for the newspaper industry overall."
