McClatchy: ‘We Have Not Made Any Decision’ to Close Foreign Bureaus

The McClatchy Company, publisher of over 30 U.S. newspapers, is responding to rumors that the company plans to shutter foreign bureaus that surfaced on Twitter this week. The upshot: hard to say, quite.   The rumors surfaced in a tweet from Wall Street Journal national security reporter Dion Nissenbaum: "Rumors floating that @McClatchyDC will close overseas bureaus, which produced stellar journos like @HannahAllam, @LeilaFadel, @nancyayoussef," he wrote.
