RICHMOND, VA. - Media General's Operations and Distribution Solutions Group (O&DS) is pleased to announce a new print and delivery partnership with Cellmates, which is owned by Wolfhorse Publishing, Inc., headquartered in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Cellmates is printed at Media General's Tampa, Fla., facility and distributed to sales locations throughout Tampa Bay each week by Media General. At the launch April 4th, copies were sold in more than 700 locations in the market. That number is expected to grow quickly in the next several months.

"We are excited to add Cellmates to Media General Operations & Distribution Solutions growing print and delivery partnerships," said William Barker, vice president of Operations and Circulation for Florida Communications Group. "The partnership between Cellmates and O&DS is another example of how Media General's manufacturing and logistical capabilities can produce a ‘win-win' for publishers who utilize our suite of services for both printing and delivery in the Tampa Bay market."

"It's been exciting to partner with a company focused on excellence and growing market share. I like the value of a partner who offers such a wide array of services," said Dwayne Mayo, publisher and owner of Cellmates. "This partnership poises our company for expansion opportunities."

In early 2009, Media General formed the Operations & Distribution Solutions Group to manage its production and distribution operations across all markets in order to maximize utilization of its production and distribution assets in the Southeast. Media General has 10 strategically located print facilities in the Southeast. In addition to printing its own newspapers, the company provides printing and delivery services for more than 100 other newspapers and specialty products.
