Richmond, Va. – Media General today launched Kooponz, a bi-weekly publication featuring high-value coupons from area retailers, restaurants, attractions and more.

Each coupon page in the book has savings of at least $5. Using just one coupon from Kooponz will save a shopper more than the suggested retail price of $2.95 per issue.  Each Kooponz book will have more than $150 in savings inside.

The inaugural issue of Kooponz, available in stores today, contains savings from Windy Hill Sports Complex, Qdoba, CiCi’s Pizza, Hunting Hawk Golf Club, Gander Mountain and much more.

“The coupon craze has reached new heights in today’s questionable economy as consumers continue to look for more ways to save money on everyday expenses,” said Sam Hightower, regional vice president of operations at Media General. “With Kooponz, we’re offering bargain shoppers another opportunity to save, in addition to the coupons they find in the Sunday newspaper.”

Kooponz may be purchased at Richmond-area locations of Fas Mart, Walgreens and Wawa, and other local retailers including The Market at Tobacco Row.

Kooponz is produced in partnership with the Richmond Times-Dispatch and copies also may be purchased at the newspaper’s downtown location at 300 E. Franklin St.

Visit www.KooponzBook.com for a complete list of coupons in the current issue as well as the full list of stores where Kooponz is available for purchase. The Kooponz Facebook and Twitter pages also will keep savvy shoppers informed of upcoming deals along with tips for making their dollars stretch further.

The next edition of Kooponz hits stores on August 31, with a new issue available every other Wednesday.
