By: E&P Staff Media General Inc. sold Virginia Business Magazine to a private investment company that includes the magazine's president and publisher, Bernard A. Niemeier.
The sale to Virginia Business Publications LLC was effective Thursday. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We are delighted to be able to acquire a strong, long-standing, statewide brand that is the best in its category," Niemeier said in a statement on behalf of the new ownership group that was posted on the magazine's Web site. "The award-winning magazine has an excellent staff, and we expect to retain all full-time employees," he added.
