Media General Using Polkadots Ink-it Software

By: E&P Staff Montreal-based Polkadots Software now offers Ink-it software to help newspapers save money on ink and provide better color reproduction.

At Media General's North Carolina Community Newspapers, Regional Production Director Jim Lillagore, cited the software's price ($2,995), functionality and easy installation for its selection, noting that it was configured and running in 45 minutes.

"In the first month, Ink-it has saved 22% of our ink costs, and we will save $12,000 within a year," Lillagore said in a statement.

Through its partnership with Southern Lithoplate, Polkadots worked with Media General to install 25 Ink-it licenses. All installations were performed remotely, eliminating on-site costs and workflow disruptions.

Polkadots is a PAGE Cooperative Platinum Supplier and a member of the Southern Lithoplate Strategic Alliance.
